Kei Kimura Japan

I graduated from Hyogo Medical University and completed my surgical residency at Kansai Rosai Hospital. I am currently practicing at Hyogo Medical University, specializing in conventional colorectal surgery and minimally invasive procedures. With over 16 years of experience, I now focus on multidisciplinary management and advanced surgical techniques for high-complexity pelvic exenteration. I am actively involved in the Japan Pelvic Exenteration Network (J-PEN), aiming to standardize definitions and classifications in pelvic exenteration surgery. My academic interests include optimizing perfusion assessment using indocyanine green fluorescence to reduce anastomotic leakage in rectal cancer surgery, investigating the concept of disseminated locally recurrent rectal cancer, and developing curative strategies that combine carbon-ion radiotherapy and surgery for unresectable rectal cancer.
