Dr Fidel Touma is an experienced General and Laparoscopic Consultant Surgeon with a special interest in colorectal surgery and complex abdominal wall hernia repair and reconstruction. In recognition of his advanced training and expertise, Dr. Touma was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2015 and held the position of a consultant general and laparoscopic surgeon at Northern Health (Public), John Fawkner Private Hospital, Northpark Private Hospital, and Northern Private Hospital. Throughout his career, Dr. Touma has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to education and mentorship, imparting invaluable knowledge, skills, and guidance to numerous surgical residents, registrars, and fellows. He maintains active membership in several professional organizations, including, the International Society of University Colon and Rectal Surgeons (ISUCRS), General Surgeons Australia (GSA), ANZ Hernia Society, and Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA).
