Fuad Ismail Malaysia

Prof. Dato’ Dr. Fuad is a graduate of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and holds the title of Consultant Clinical Oncologist, having completed his postgraduate training at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and the Royal College of Radiologists in London. He is a former Medical Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, UKM, and served as the Head of the Radiotherapy and Oncology Department at Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz (HCTM), UKM Medical Centre, for 27 years. He is actively involved in research and has published numerous academic materials related to oncology. He is also the co-founder of the Master of Oncology Program at Universiti Malaya (UM), which plays a pivotal role in training new oncologists in Malaysia. With his extensive expertise in oncology, he has served on various national committees. These include the Technical Advisory Committee for Health Technologies Economic Evaluation (TACHTEE), the Medical Specialist Evaluation Subcommittee for Oncology under the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC), and the Oncology Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) Medicine Committee. Globally, he has also collaborated with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
