Chirstopher Verala Venezuela

Dr. Cristopher Varela is a Venezuelan general surgeon and coloproctologist with extensive experience in clinical practice, academic teaching, and research. He is a faculty member in postgraduate surgical training programs and an internationally trained colorectal surgeon, having completed advanced fellowships in laparoscopic and robotic colorectal surgery at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea. Dr. Varela is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and serves on the ASCRS Video-Based Education Committee. His professional interests include minimally invasive colorectal surgery, trauma care, surgical education, and global collaborative research, with multiple peer-reviewed publications and international recognitions.
