Dr. Lim Huay Cheen Consultant Upper Gastrointestinal, Bariatric & General Surgeon Regency Specialist Hospital & Gleneagles Hospital Johor, Malaysia Visiting Consultant Upper GI Surgeon, Hospital Sultanah Aminah Johor Dr. Lim Huay Cheen is a Consultant Upper Gastrointestinal, Bariatric, and General Surgeon with extensive expertise in minimally invasive, robotic, laparoscopic, and advanced endoscopic surgery. He completed his Master of Surgery at the University of Malaya and obtained his medical degree from Universiti Putra Malaysia. He underwent advanced fellowship training in Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery at the Asia Pacific Endoscopic Metabolic and Bariatric Surgical Center, Taiwan, as well as fellowship training in Gastric Surgery, Esophageal Surgery, and Gastrointestinal Endoscopy at the National Cancer Center, Japan. He is also fellowship-trained in Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery under the Ministry of Health Malaysia. Dr. Lim is certified in both Da Vinci and Hinotori robotic surgical systems and currently serves as a Hinotori Robotic Console Proctor. His clinical practice focuses on upper gastrointestinal surgery, bariatric and metabolic surgery, robotic surgery, and advanced minimally invasive procedures. He is actively involved in professional surgical societies and currently serves as Council Member of the Malaysian Upper Gastrointestinal Surgical Society (MUGIS) and the Malaysian Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (MSMBS). Dr. Lim is also a member of several international organizations, including the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders (IFSO) and the International Society for Diseases of the Esophagus (ISDE).
