Dr. Gonzalo Hagerman
Attending Surgeon at the Department of Surgery, ABC Medical Center (Centro Médico ABC), Mexico City. Associate Professor in the Graduate Program in Health Sciences at Universidad Panamericana. Master’s degree in Bioethics and currently a Doctoral Candidate in Bioethics at Universidad Panamericana. Former President of the Mexican Board of Coloproctology and Associate Professor of the Colorectal Surgery Fellowship affiliated with the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), ABC Medical Center site.
He has delivered more than 135 invited lectures at national and international scientific forums (United States, Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Africa) and has presented over 65 scientific research works. He has led multiple projects focused on improving the quality of life of patients with pelvic floor disorders and is currently working on the bioethical analysis of surgical practice.
Author of book chapters and numerous national and international publications, he has received several academic distinctions and awards. His professional and humanitarian interests have also led to the creation of Fundación Sandra Súcar, an initiative dedicated to promoting medical humanitarian missions in Africa, particularly in Madagascar and Mozambique.
