Liliana Bordeianou United States

Dr. Liliana Bordeianou MD, MPH is a Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School. She leads as Academic Director of the integrated Mass General Brigham (MGB) Colorectal Surgery Division, and as Surgical Director of the Colorectal and Pelvic Floor Centers at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Bordeianou is the founding chair (emeritus) of the USA Pelvic Floor Disorders Consortium and serves as Secretary General of the International Society of University Colon and Rectal Surgeons. She advocates for multidisciplinary collaboration to improve colorectal patient outcomes. Her research focuses on pelvic floor disorders and patient-perceived outcomes after surgery, including quality of life, restoration of bowel function, and preservation of dignity after colorectal surgery. She also studies complications, oncological outcomes, and the long-term impact of treatment decisions.
