Dr Shahreedhan binti Shahrani is an Internal Medicine Consultant and a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist from University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She received her MBBS from IIUM and has a Masters Degree in Internal Medicine from Universiti Malaya and was the recipient of the Professor Rokiah Pendek Award. She successfully completed the European Specialty Examination in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and subspecialty training in the Malaysian Gastroenterology and Hepatology Training Programme. She was awarded the Asia Pacific Association Gastroenterology Fellowship Award in 2023. Dr Shahreedhan completed a clinical and research fellowship at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne (SVHM), Australia in advance IBD, with a special interest in functional GI. Dr Shahreedhan’s research is centred on treatment optimisation in acute severe ulcerative colitis, with biologic and small molecule therapies. Dr Shahreedhan has been actively involved in research and clinical trials. She additionally trained and is certified in intestinal ultrasound (IUS). She currently runs the IUS service in UMMC and helps train others locally and regionally, in IUS.
