Professor Dr. Ali Ahmed Shafik is a distinguished Egyptian Professor of Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, Kasr El Aini. He is a leading international figure in colorectal and pelvic diseases, currently serving as President of the Mediterranean Colon and Rectal Association (ROMA) and holding several key leadership roles in international medical associations. With a prolific academic career, he has published 256 research papers in international journals covering colon and rectal surgery, urology, infertility, and gynecology. His expertise is recognized globally, having lectured and chaired sessions at over 20 international conferences. His contributions have earned him numerous prestigious accolades, including: · Inclusion in Stanford University's list of the top 2% of scientists worldwide (2020). · The Hippocrates Award from the University of Cambridge (2010). · Honors from the University of Cambridge, the American Biographical Institute (Man of the Year 2008), and multiple international surgical societies.
